1. Specifications Matching and Verification (Initial Setup)

Before installation, please be sure to verify your Krone machine model and tractor specifications:

  • Model Confirmation: For KR100-160 models, Size 4 (CAT3) is typically used; for larger models such as 1500/1800, please ensure that Size 6 (CAT4) or higher is used.
  • Spline Matching: The input end of this series is compatible with the standard 1.375-6 (6-Spline) specification.Clutch Setting: Confirm that the torque value of the equipped FT Clutches (e.g., 1000nm or 1800nm) meets the load requirements of your machine.

2. Installation Steps

  • CV Joint Orientation: If your shaft is equipped with a CV (Constant Velocity) wide-angle universal joint, be sure to connect it to the tractor end to ensure smooth power transmission during sharp turns.
  • Locking Mechanism: Use the HZPT patented Easy-lock system for securing the connection, ensuring the yoke is fully engaged in the slot and pulling it up and down to confirm it is locked.
  • Protective Cover Attachment: Attach the safety chain of the protective cover to the designated fixing points on the tractor and implement. The protective cover must not rotate with the shaft.

3. Operating Precautions

  • Turning Angle: The CV joint allows for larger turning angles, but it is still recommended to avoid extreme angles during operation to reduce wear on the universal joint and bearing components.
  • Overloading is strictly prohibited: If the FT clutch slips due to overload, immediately stop the PTO output and check if the baler is clogged. Do not forcibly increase the throttle.
